First 10k of 2012

In aid of love duchenne and in support of my mate Adrian and his girlfriend who's baby was still born, I am running a 10k race on Saturday 11th Feb.

I really haven't trained much since the turn of the year having been ill over Christmas and only recently recovering.

My training regime has included lunchtime basketball sessions, light runs in the evenings and gym sessions on weekends.

Do I feel fit? Yes.
Do I feel confident? Yes
But will I beat my PB of 57mins? Only time will tell.

Scoping an e-commerce solution

Since Roadrunner contacted me to redesign their website and build them an e-commerce catalog I have been busy scoping the right tool for this, with Umbraco the clear favourite.

However, after further studies into Umbraco prove that it is far to big a tool for this job and has far to many bells and whistles which need a lot of time and attention.
Given my deadline for this job I have opted against Umbraco for now...

So, scoping is still underway for an online e-commerce CMS with choice of templates that can be manipulated and possibly ASP.net powered. Current favourites are
EKM Powershop, BrightPearl and Shopify.

I shall be comparing their abilities and facilities and will chose the application that meets most of mine and Roadrunners requirements.

The update to my customers website (hengoedmemorials memorials) has now been completed.
Color scheme and image updates have berb carried out and SEO has been successful with hengoedmemorials appearing on the first google search page.
